Yamame fishing

I went to fly fishing for Yamame on Saturday. It was warm day but little hatch and no rise yet.

Tying pheasant tail nymph as original style

As you know, the "pheasant tail nymph" is invented by Frank Sawyer who was the most famous river keeper in England and he didn't using tying thread for the fly.

And I also tried to the pheasant tail nymph as original style!
How do you think about it? Enjoy fly tying and tight line!

I went to fly fishing to the small mountain stream where is one of my home river in Tokyo area.

Elk hair caddis

If you can't make up your mind at the front of rise, I recommend a "Elk hair caddis". It's a pretty versatile dry fly.

My favorite type is peacock herl body.
If you are tying beginner, I recommend thread body and no hackle pattern.
